As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Author Guidelines
Manuscript Preparation
Formatting. Prepare your manuscript according to Kabatiran formatting guidelines, including font size, line spacing, margins, and page numbering. For your convenience, download the most recent template of the journal. Note that the body text follows the IEEE formatting.
Title Page. Include the title page with the title of the manuscript, authors’ names, affiliations, and corresponding author’s contact details.
Abstract. Present the synopsis of the study using 150-250 words. This synopsis should summarize the research's main objectives, methods, results, and conclusion.
Keywords. Add at least five critical keywords or phrases to increase the article's visibility in search engines. Arrange these keywords or phrases alphabetically.
Manuscript Structure
Introduction. Provide a global and local perspective on the state of knowledge and clearly state the study's research problem, objectives, and significance.
Literature Review. Review relevant literature and provide context for your research. Identify gap(s) and establish the novelty or originality of the study.
Methodology. Describe your research methodology, including the data collection process, sampling and sample size, procedure, and data analysis method.
Results. Present your research findings clearly and organized using tables, figures, and charts where necessary.
Discussion. Interpret the results, discuss their implications, and relate your findings with existing literature. Ensure to cite literature in this section to strengthen your claims and arguments.
Conclusion. Summarize the main findings and their implications. Present the study's limitations and new areas where further research is necessary. Avoid introducing new information in the conclusion.
Citations and References. Cite all sources appropriately using the IEEE citation style. In addition, provide a comprehensive list of references at the end of the manuscript, following the IEEE style.
Figures and Tables. Ensure that all figures and tables are precise, labeled, and relevant to the content. Also, include captions for figures and tables and reference them in the main text.
Ethical Considerations. Adhere to ethical standards in research and writing, including the proper citation of sources, avoidance of plagiarism, and compliance with human subjects and animal research ethics when applicable. In addition, disclose any potential conflict of interest, financial or otherwise, that may influence the research. Furthermore, acknowledge funding sources and grants that supported the research.
Authorship and Contributions. Specify the contributions of each author to the research and manuscript. Also, ensure that all individuals who have made significant contributions are listed as authors, and those who have made smaller contributions are acknowledged in the acknowledgments section.
Manuscript Submission. Submit your manuscript through the journal’s online submission system, following the instructions provided.
Review Process. Kabatiran adopted the double-blind peer-review process. Every manuscript should undergo at least two reviews with at least two peer reviewers. Be prepared to address reviewer comments and revise your manuscript accordingly.
Plagiarism and Duplicate Publication. Ensure that your manuscript is entirely original and has not been previously published elsewhere. Avoid self-plagiarism and appropriately attribute any reused content. Kabatiran set its standards to a 10% plagiarism score (or lesser) and a 90% grammar rating (or more).
Compliance with Editorial Policy. Familiarize yourself with Kabatiran editorial policy and ensure your manuscript complies with all relevant guidelines.
