This study aims to identify the level of awareness of the residents in Barangay 38 (Bacolod City, Philippines) on Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 when grouped according to the profile variables; and if there is a disparity in the level of awareness of the residents. Two hundred volunteered residents from Barangay 38 were the respondents of this study. With an approach of quantitative research, this study utilized descriptive research design.

With this, the study results revealed that the respondents have a high level of awareness of cybercrime, with means that the respondents are aware of the different provisions of the Cybercrime Prevention Act particularly on the areas of Offenses against the confidentiality, integrity and availability of computer data and systems, Computer-related Offenses and Content-related Offenses.

The result also shows that there is a disparity between the level of awareness of the residents on Cybercrime Prevention Act in terms of the highest educational attainment and employment status.
